Julian Visits Local Butcher & Pie Maker in Support of Small Business Saturday
December 3, 2016
Julian has paid a visit to Ged Bell Butcher & Pie Makers based in Dringhouses in support of Small Business Saturday 2016.
Ged Bell established the family business in 1980 only a short distance from York Racecourse, which is now run by his son Lee who met with Julian and discussed their progress with Christmas orders and how the business is expanding.
Ged Bell Family Butchers are renowned for their excellent pies which Julian was delighted to purchase on his visit. A frequent feature on race days in York, the award winning butchers source their pork pie meat locally from a free range pig breeder in Howden, East Yorkshire.
Speaking after the visit Julian said, “I am thrilled to be able to support Small Business Saturday once again; it is so important that we back the independent businesses in our communities, and none more so than the fantastic Ged Bell family butchers which I was able to visit today.
“I was pleased to hear that the business is going well, and I am delighted to report that their pork pies are absolutely top notch. I would encourage everyone who has the opportunity to give them a try.
“Small Business Saturday is such a great event, and it is brilliant to see people come out to support independent traders right across the country. It is more important than ever that we get behind small businesses as they much such a big contribution both to the economy and in the great services they provide.”
