My Plan to Secure a Better Future for York Outer

1. Protection for York’s Greenbelt

I want to see a sensible and sustainable Local Plan that will balance local housing needs with the need to protect our precious countryside.

2. Fairer Health Funding for York and North Yorkshire

We must improve the national funding formula to ensure our ageing and rural population have equal access to treatments.

3. A Permanent Solution to York’s Transport and Congestion Issues

For too long our city and its communities have been grinding to a steady halt. We need a long term solution.

4. Accessible to All

I pride myself on being available to all constituents. I’ve hosted hundreds of advice surgeries and public meetings around the constituency and I will continue to do so.

5. Bridge the Digital Divide

The Government’s investment in our broadband infrastructure is welcome, but I am determined to see more done to improve the situation for our most rural communities.

6. End the Wind Farm Folly

Following the Prime Minister’s recent pledge, if re-elected as your MP, I will vote to end the lucrative taxpayer subsidies for onshore wind turbines once and for all.
