Julian Welcomes HS2 Opportunities for Local Businesses

May 11, 2016

Julian has welcomed an initiative launched by HS2 Limited to encourage local businesses from across Yorkshire and the Humber to find out how they can benefit from the work generated from the HS2 rollout.

On Wednesday 18th May HS2 Limited are inviting businesses to meet face-to-face with HS2 experts in Leeds to learn about supply chain opportunities. More information about the meeting can be found here: https://www.hs2roadshow2016.co.uk/Yorkshire-and-Humber.aspx

Businesses of all sizes will be able to learn how to best position themselves to benefit from the billions of pounds worth of contracts that will boost the regional economy.

Commenting Julian said, “I would encourage all York based businesses who are interested in the opportunities afforded by HS2 to attend the meeting on the 18th May. Not only will HS2 give a great boost to our economy, but in its production we must ensure that local businesses form an integral part of the supply chain.

“HS2 is a key project for the UK which will support regional regeneration and create jobs. Looking further down the line we must ensure that York is not left behind in this crucial infrastructure development as the Government considers the possible future expansion of the project.”
