Commenting, Julian said:
โLevelling up should not be seen as an empty throw around phrase, itโs a real thing, and something that we are beginning to see in various ways. Levelling up is often associated with building new homes, enabling new businesses to enter the market, and upgrading infrastructure, such as railways, but it is so much more. It involves culture, opportunity, social mobility and a richer society
Britain is famous for its culture, particularly art, literacy, music, dance and theatre, therefore it is great to see that York has received ยฃ2,761,922 in Arts Council funding as part of the Governments generous and ambitious package to level up all parts of the UK. This funding will allow large and independent organisations to really invest in their creative expertise and subsequently offer the community a more rich and diverse cultural experience.”
