Supporting the Special Care Baby Unit in York

July 31, 2014

Julian was delighted to recently have the opportunity to visit the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) at York Hospital to mark their thirty year anniversary. During his visit, Julian learned about the important work which SCBU does to support special care babies and their families at a difficult time, as well as the ways they are fundraising to mark their anniversary.

Afterwards, he commented: “I was pleased to visit the Special Care Baby Unity and hear more about the invaluable work which they do every day. As a father myself, I can only begin to imagine how hard it must be for new parents using the services at the SCBU, but I was very impressed by the quality of care on offer there and the dedication of all of the ward staff. It is fitting that we celebrate SCBU in this their 30th year, and I wish them every success in their vital work for the next thirty years.”
