Kimberlow Hill surgery appointment booking problems
June 6, 2018
Julian is concerned by reports that people have been struggling to make appointments at the Kimberlow Hill GP surgery in Heslington, and has taken action to get answers for local residents and help resolve the situation.
A series of concerning reviews have been posted online reviewing the surgery on the NHS Choices website, detailing how practice users have found it very difficult or impossible to make appointments by telephone or the online booking system.
Some residents report being left on the phone for hours, while others have said that the online booking system is very difficult to use, and it has apparently taken a long time to get back to people with confirmation of appointments once they have filled in the online form.
Julian has written directly to the Kimberlow Hill practice, and also to the Vale of York NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to raise the matter. He has requested the surgery provides a clear explanation of how and when this situation will be resolved, and a fully functioning booking system restored. Julian has asked the CCG what they can do to help resolve the problem.
If residents have any concerns or queries about this situation, Julian is more than happy to take these up. He can be contacted at julian.sturdy.mp@parliament.uk or you can ring the constituency office on 01904 784 847.
