Julian visits Naburn Village Shop as part of Small Business Saturday
December 3, 2022
Today sees the return of Small Business Saturday which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
Julian was once again delighted to support this great initiative by visiting an assortment of small businesses within the constituency. He regularly meets and engages with local businesses to learn more about the vital work they do, which helps inform the work that he does in Westminster.
For his first stop, Julian visited Naburn Village Shop. Having only been open for three weeks, the shop is a fantastic addition to village life meaning residents can get fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and dairy produce right on their doorstep. Their offering is already expanding based on customer requests and you will find something new on every visit.
Following the visit, Julian said:
“It was reassuring to hear that the village had really embraced the new venture knowing that if they don’t use it they may lose the service. While Small Business Saturday is only one day, it is important to keep its message all year round.
We must not forget that local businesses support an array on producers and supply chain businesses, so every penny spent really does go a long way in supporting the Yorkshire economy.
I will enjoy my pasty and toffee apple crumble and will certainly be back to try more of the tasty treats on offer!”
