Julian takes questions from York College politics students
November 25, 2022
This week, Julian took part in a question and answer forum with sixth form students at York College. The sessions was a great opportunity for Julian to learn more about what matters most to young people in York.
Among the topics raised by the students was the war in Ukraine, the recent Autumn statement, the rise in the cost of living, Scottish independence and climate change. There was also interest in how Julian became a Member of Parliament and how we encourage greater youth participation in politics.
Following the talk, Julian said:
“It was great to see such enthusiasm from students engaged with the issues affecting our society.
It gives me hope for the future that in York our young people want to work for the change they want to see.”
