Julian remembers the Fallen on Rememberance Sunday
November 9, 2013
This Sunday Julian will join the Civic Party of York to remember the sacrifices made by our brave Service men and women over the years.
Commenting, Julian said: “Every November I am proud to wear a poppy as a sign of my support and respect for our troops, past and present, and for the sacrifices they and their families have made.
“It is crucial that we as a Nation can come together to show our gratitude for the hardships they have endured. Each Remembrance Sunday I am struck by the simple, moving but powerful words of the Kohima Epitaph:
When you go home,
Tell them of us and say for your tomorrow,
We gave our today.
“It is important to remember all those who served our country and who paid the ultimate price so that we can enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted today.”
