Julian meets developers at site of Clifton Gate

Julian met with Bellway, Barratt and David Wilson Homes to discuss the Clifton Gate development which is set to deliver 3000 homes as part of the draft Local Plan.
The development has been designed as a self-contained new community rather than urban expansion of an existing suburb. It will include amenities for the new residents, including a primary school, sports facilities and green spaces.
To truly unlock the potential of this site and for the homes to be attractive to buyers, Julian believes ring road dualling must be complete so new residents aren’t faced with years of gridlock from the day they move in.
Julian will keep meeting with stakeholders to ensure plans progress and we deliver the homes we need for York.
