Julian lobbies Network Rail on Copmanthorpe Level Crossing

Julian met with Network Rail at the site of the current level crossing at Copmanthorpe to discuss the upgrade to the Transpennine line.
He used this opportunity to once again lobby for a fully accessible ramped footbridge to be installed to ensure it can used by all residents. With ambitions to upgrade the active travel route between Bishopthorpe and Copmanthorpe only going to increase traffic, it simply makes sense to get this right first time rather than having to revisit a bridge upgrade in years to come.
In October, Julian is set to appear on behalf of the community at an inquiry to determine the future of the level crossing.
