Julian joins in the fun at Copmanthorpe Carnival

Along with family from across York, Julian enjoyed Saturday’s Copmanthorpe Carnival which was the culmination of a week-long diary of events raising money for the Copmanthorpe Recreation Centre.
Despite Cllr Steward’s best attempts, Julian resisted the assault course but enjoyed the chance to talk to residents even when holding different birds of prey.
After the event, Julian said:
“Thank you to everyone who volunteered to man a stall today as well as those who have dedicated months to organising the Carnival. Events like this are hallmarks of our calendar and we look forward to them each year.
This year certainly did not disappoint and I hope we raised plenty of funds to allow the Rec to continue to play host to community sports and events”
