Julian joins Big Tent Ideas Festival for talk on Green Revolution

June 17, 2023

Julian joined a panel at the Big Tent Ideas Festival held in York today to discuss the potential the switch to Net Zero offers our economy.

Julian has been clear that rather than a threat to our economy, he believes the switch to Net Zero offers us an opportunity akin to the industrial revolution with local businesses poised to lead this emerging sector.

Julian was joined on the panel by:

Eddie Rich, CEO International Hydropower
Zack Polanski, Deputy Leader, Green Party
Mark Petterson, Executive Director of Warwick Energy Ltd. and energy sector pioneer focussed on offshore wind
Catherine Heinemeyer, Institute for Social Justice, York St John University

The Big Tent Ideas Festival is an annual non-partisan platform for people and communities to engage with political leaders and influence public policy. It brings together people from all backgrounds and political affiliations, for a day of political and cultural debate. Julian was pleased to support York’s efforts at hosting the festival.
