Julian holds Meeting for all York Outer Parish Councils

Julian held a meeting at Dunnington Reading Rooms for all the Parish Councils across the constituency. This provided Parish Councils with an opportunity to update Julian on the news from across our various communities and also allowed the Parishes to raise any concerns they have on both local issues and national matters.

The main issues discussed involved road maintenance funding, fracking, powers of planning enforcement officers, A64 dualling, Local Plan, Broadband, flood defences, and of course Brexit.

Overall, the event proved very useful for sharing opinions, recognising problems and challenges, and discussing the best way forward to address these local challenges.

Julian will be sending out a summary paper to all Parish Councils which covers the areas that were discussed, along with any additional information that was requested by attendees.
