Football Foundation Investment in York

While football may not be coming home, the future is for the sport is still bright in York thanks to investment from the Football Foundation.
York’s local football facility plan is an exciting milestone in our long term ambition to transform the landscape of grassroots football across England. It showcases the community facilities that York needs to enable more players of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to feel the many benefits of our national game. It was created in partnership between the Football Foundation, local authority, sports clubs, schools and the County FA.
In York, there will be investment in 10 artificial grass pitches, 34 natural grass pitches, 5 changing pavilions and 5 small sided facilities as part of 70 grants.
