Community Connections Open Day in Haxby

Julian enjoyed visiting the Community Connections Open Day in Haxby this week and was pleased to see it so well attended yesterday.
The event provided residents an opportunity to discover everything that is going on in the local community, from shops and services to activities and opportunities.
Julian was particularly moved by hearing the great work being done by Menfulness, a local charity providing an inclusive social community for men in York to socialise, exercise, talk, and let off steam.
Male mental health isn’t talked about enough and suicide is the biggest cause of death in men under 50. More needs to be done and Julian offered his help to Menfulness as well as similar groups who support men in York.
