Celebrating Yorkshire Day
August 1, 2014
Today is Yorkshire Day, the annual opportunity to commemorate the Yorkshire Declaration of Integrity and celebrate the county. As a proud Yorkshireman, Julian was pleased to wear a white rose to mark the occasion, commenting: “I am so pleased to be from the finest county in the country, and Yorkshire Day is truly an occasion to celebrate all that is great about God’s Own County. It is fantastic to see Yorkshire born athletes achieving such success in the Commonwealth Games, and I am especially pleased to support Yorkshire in the County Cricket Championship. With any luck they’ll continue their fine form at the top of the table and the county can end the summer on a wave of sporting successes.”
