York Press column: All action ahead of Easter

The ‘Publication Draft’ Consultation

As yet, no formal details have been confirmed for the consultation. The ‘Publication Draft’ document must be put to the Local Plan Working Group (22nd September 2014) and the Council’s Cabinet (25th September 2014) who are likely to vote it through to public consultation. If this happens, opposition Councillors are very likely to ‘call in’ this decision for scrutiny, which will undoubtedly delay the beginning of the consultation.

Taking this into account, the Council expect the six week consultation to begin in mid October (the latest estimate is on or around 13th October), closing at the end of November. As soon as further details emerge, they will be posted here.

We recommending signing up to Julian’s regular ebulletins to be kept up to date on all the latest Local Plan news and information. To do this, please email Julian at julian.sturdy.mp@parliament.uk with your request and include your full name and address.
