York OuterThe York Outer Constituency is a new Parliamentary seat brought about by the latest boundary commission changes. The constituency takes the form of a doughnut ring surrounding the York Central Constituency and its outer boundary is the York City Council Boundary. It has been made up of parts of Selby, Rydale, Vale of York and The City of York Constituency’s.
York Outer consists of the City’s suburbs, including many historic villages such as Fulford, Osbaldwick, Skelton and Bishopthorpe. The Constiruency is also home to York University, a world class research centre situated next to the village of Heslington. |
